ClassiCon - Classic and Contemporary
ClassiCon is a German company based in Munich that harmoniously combines classic and contemporary in its name. Founded in 1990 by Stephan Fischer von Poturzyn, ClassiCon succeeded the traditional "Vereinigte Werkstätten" and took over their licence agreements. Big names in classic furniture design such as Eileen Gray, Eckart Muthesius and Otto Blümel formed the cornerstone of the product portfolio from the very beginning. But the ClassiCon concept goes further: in addition to masterful design classics, the manufacturer also promotes the work of outstanding young designers. Material and format
The Lota sofa has an upholstered beech frame with a spring core. The shell is made of high-gloss lacquered MDF. The front and back of the body are finished in glossy black lacquer. The design piece features stabilising cushions and upholstery in fabric or leather. It is 240 cm wide, 88 cm deep and 85 cm high.
