You are in good hands in this gorgeous, modern design classic. The comfortable fabric (65% wool, 15% cashmere, 20% polyamide) is available in three colours. Dark grey, light grey and brown. You can combine the frame with these colours: Chrome-plated, dark bronze, basalt grey RAL 7012 or in white RAL 9010, with a matching lounge chair stool. The armchairs are just as suitable for your lounge as they are as individual pieces, but the matching stool with fabric cover in the same colours is of course particularly relaxing. Important designer of the 60s: Herbert Hirche
When you look at the design work of Herbert Hirche, it's hard to believe that some of these modern pieces of furniture were designed many decades ago. The lounge chair, for example, dates back to 1953! After an apprenticeship as a carpenter at the Bauhaus in Dessau and Berlin, where Hirche learnt under Mies van der Rohe from 1930 to 1933, Hirche worked as a freelance architect and designer. Hirche is one of the most important architects and designers of the 1950s and 1960s. Richard Lampert is contributing to the immortality of designers such as Herbert Hirche by reissuing these classics. Hirche's lounge chair went into series production at Richard Lampert for the first time in 2000.
Richard Lampert: Design made in Germany
In 1993, Richard Lampert founded his company in Stuttgart with the aim of industrially producing furniture and everyday objects that combine quality craftsmanship, design and sustainability. Richard Lampert's collections cover a wide range of areas from outdoor furniture to living spaces and offices. Well-known designers such as Egon Eiermann and Herbert Hirche stand alongside unconventional and lesser-known international designers.
Format and material
The fabric of the Richard Lampert Long Chair (65% wool, 15% cashmere, 20% polyamide) is available in light grey. The powder-coated and outdoor-resistant tubular steel frame is in white RAL 9010. The armchair is 80 cm deep, the seat is 57 cm x 57 cm, the height at the front of the backward sloping cushion is 34 cm and the seat height is 24 cm.
