Design team Krøjgaard + Humlevik

Rune Krøjgaard graduated in design and industrial design from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. His designs are characterised by a high understanding of materials and their properties as well as the shapes and dimensions of a body. His Nordic roots and the connection to classical Scandinavian traditions are also evident in his work. He has been working closely with the Norwegian designer Knut Bendik Humlevik since 2007. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the School of Architecture in Copenhagen. Humlevik's interest in the totality and dynamics of designs and creations is great. Together the two designers create products that are characterised by functionality and purity of style. Keywords of their collaboration are simplicity, aesthetics and comfort.

NORR11 - Scandinavian design

The Danish furniture manufacturer NORR11 was founded in 2011. The company's focus is to redefine and rethink the understanding of Scandinavian design and thus create timeless pieces of furniture that combine present and past. This goal is achieved through collaboration with innovative young designers. The result is products of outstanding craftsmanship and quality.

Material and format

The Mammoth Sofa is made of solid oak wood as the frame and oak veneer for the seat and backrest. The wood is available in different colours. The sofa is upholstered and has a leather cover, which is available in different versions. It is 151 cm wide, 87 cm deep and 104 cm high. The seat height is 35.5 cm.
