Stone rich: Material Table Lamp "The Black Sheep Edition" by New Works
Marble has been used for the most beautiful things since time immemorial. New Works now uses this noble natural stone for the Material Lamp from the Black Sheep Edition. But only when switched on it becomes clear how beautiful marble is, because its structure is clearly visible.
Versatile in use
Material from New Works can be used in many different ways: from a reading lamp at the desk to a bedside table lamp to subtle lighting in the living room or hallway.
Material and Format
The base is made of steel and powder-coated aluminum, the shade is made of white marble. The black PVC cable comes on a length of 180 cm. There is a three-level dimmer in the base of the lamp. The manufacturer recommends the following illuminant: E14, LED 7 Watt. The lamp weighs 3.5 kilograms. Material of New Works is 19 cm wide, 45 cm high and 25 cm deep.
The design
Behind Nørgaard & Kachayas are the two designers Christian Noergaard and Martin Kechayas. Noergaard was born in Denmark in 1981, Kechayas is half Danish and half Greek. In 2009 the two founded their design studio, which is located in Copenhagen. The fact that the designers differ in character makes the creative process incredibly dynamic. Besides New Works, Nørgaard & Kachayas have also worked for Hay.
