Then the Mbarq Setting 02 is just the thing for you. Inspired by the traditional shape of historical alcoves ,Sebastian Herkner has created an outdoor retreat with the Mbarq series. The organically shaped backrest and deep seats ensure relaxation and pleasant sitting and reclining comfort. A special detail is thethree-axis wickerwork structure, which adds variety to the living space.

Sebastian Herkner studied product design at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach. Already during his studies, he focused on the design of objects and furniture that are characterised by the combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. Subtle details and the natural beauty of the materials used are the focus here. Herkner founded his own design studio in 2006 and has since designed products for numerous renowned companies. His work has already received several awards.

Material and format

The frame is made of powder-coated aluminium and woven with the special DEDON fibre. The DEDON fibre is not only extremely weatherproof and can withstand neither cold nor heat, sun, rain or snow, it is also exceptionally colourfast, structurally stable and insensitive to chlorine and salt water. 

The seat and back cushions of the Mbarq Lounge are made of weatherproof textile fabric and are covered with the Twist Sand fabric in this set. In addition, they have an anti-slip coating that ensures that the cushions do not slip even when lying comfortably. The additional back cushions are covered with Twist Gray fabric. The decorative cushions are not included in this set.
