Talent: Nerd Chair chair by Muuto
The seamless integration of the wooden backrest and seat makes the Nerd Chair not only aesthetically pleasing, but also comfortable. The design chair was awarded the Muuto Talent Award in 2012 because its uniquely classic and Scandinavian design convinces on every level.
Designer David Geckeler
David Geckeler studied industrial design in Berlin and Copenhagen. Since then, he has been exploring the broad field of industrial design with a focus on furniture, interior design and lighting. For his chair design NERD he was awarded the Becker International Design Award and the Muuto Talent Award.
Material and format
The chair is made of ash or oak wood and is PU lacquered. The veneer is moulded for the design of the back and seat and then glued to the solid wooden legs. The design chair measures 45 cm in width, 50 cm in depth and 79.9 cm in height. The seat height is 46 cm.
