Recycled design: Nova Sea Chair by Mater
With its slender waist and filigree steel frame, the Nova Sea Chair is a symbol of elegance and lightness. Beyond that, there is so much more good in this special designer chair.
Sustainable approach
The design comes from the Danish design studio ARDE. In 2018, ARDE set out to design a chair that is partly made from recycled materials that would otherwise end up in the waste bin. The Nova Sea Chair now declares war on ocean waste.
The frame of the Nova Sea Chair is made of steel. And the seat? Recycled fishing nets as well as recycled plastic are used for the seat - and that to a proud 96%! Moreover, the designer chair is designed in such a way that you can completely disassemble it. Every component can be replaced and recycled. A truly good design!
Practical
The seat is 55 cm wide, 59 cm deep and 80 cm high. The seat height is 48 cm. If desired, the Nova Sea Chair can even outgrow itself, because the Mater chairs are stackable. Up to six design chairs can be stacked without any problems - on a chair trolley even up to twelve. This makes Nova Sea not only a practical seating option for the home, but also for public spaces.
