Sharp lines and powerful contours - the Oksen armchair is a true presence in any room. The famous designer Arne Jacobsen shocked the world in 1966 when he presented the armchair after 5 years of experimenting. It was quite different from his previously known works, which tended to be characterised by their filigree and rounded shapes. Oksen is the polarising counterpart to the other designs of the design master.

Fritz Hansen - Visionary Design since 1872

Fritz Hansen, that is an exclusive design brand characterised by timeless collections and world-famous classic and contemporary furniture, lamps and accessories. The company was founded in Denmark in 1872. In the 1950s, the famous designer Arne Jacobsen is responsible for the design at Fritz Hansen. In 1979, the until then family-run company becomes part of the Skandinavisk Holding. At the same time, Verner Panton is in the centre of attention as a leading avant-garde figure and shapes the design of the manufacturer immensely. And so Fritz Hansen is constantly developing and yet always keeps the long history and tradition in mind by continuing to focus on the cooperation with international and visionary designers.

Material and format

The armchair is 101 cm wide, 87 cm deep and 115 cm high. Its seat height is 43 cm and the height of the armrests is 58 cm. You will find the following leather qualities:

Grace leather: natural, chrome-tanned aniline leather, full-grain, with a light structure and light impregnation. Becomes lighter in colour with use and acquires a patina. Thickness approx. 1.4 - 1.6 mm.
Leather Essential: chrome-tanned aniline leather, slightly shiny, worked and grained surface with high durability. High lightness. Thickness approx. 1,0 - 1,2 mm
Aura leather: Chrome-tanned aniline leather, worked, strong grain (fulling) and hard-wearing surface, high lightfastness. Thickness approx. 1.4 - 1.6 mm
