Remarkable structure: Patera 300 pendant luminaire by Louis Poulsen
The Patera pendant lamp was designed by Øivind Slaatto in 2015 and is an extraordinary eye-catcher in the room due to its special shape. The aim of the Danish designer was to interpret the chandelier in a modern way. Thus, with the Patera, he created one of the most complex luminaires of his career.
Composed of rhombus-shaped cells to form a sphere, the luminaire emits a soft, diffuse light without dazzling. The light is not only directed downwards, but thanks to the 360° angle , it also shines upwards and thus illuminates the ceiling. This creates a remarkable play of light and a pleasant atmosphere.
Material and format
The shade is cut and processed from matt PVC. The suspension is made of matt chrome-plated brass as well as die-cast acrylic. The canopy contains drivers, cable guide connection made of stainless steel for easy adjustment of the cable. The lamp has a diameter of 30 cm and weighs 2 kg.
