Courage of leaving gaps: this is proved by the Petite 4600 pendant from Secto Design. Due to the fact that the juxtaposed birch strips show more or less gaps the luminaire conjures a pleasantly warm light.
Why ,‚Petite‘? Simply because the Petite 4600 pendant is the small sister of the larger Secto luminaire. The diameter of the Petite pendant lamp is 20 cm, its height 26 cm. The lampshades are manufactured by hand in Finland.
Small Tip: Above a dining table the petite provides good illumination.
Different colours
You can order the Petite pendant light in different versions: birch untreated, white laminated or black laminated. If you have a passion for walnut: We also offer the designer lamps with noble walnut veneer. With the exception of the black Petite Pendelleuchte, the 1.75 meter long textile cable and the canopy are white. In the case of the black lampshade, the cable and the canopy are black.
Birch
The Petite 4600 lamp is made of birch plywood. For the white and black Petite, the wood is additionally laminated. Birch is the most frequently occurring deciduous tree in Finland. In addition to its lightness, birch has yet another advantage: it can be particularly well shaped, i.e. bended. Alvar Aalto has already proved this in the past. His Paimio chair set standards in "wood bending".
