Design icon: PH Artichoke Pendant Light by Louis Poulsen
Designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958 , the PH Artichoke pendant light still inspires people all over the world. Originally created for a modernist restaurant in Copenhagen, the lamp is now also very popular in private living rooms.
Due to the careful arrangement of its 72 leaves, the light source is completely concealed and thus offers glare-free light from every angle. Therefore, the reflection of the underlying leaves creates an extraordinary lighting effect
Material and format
The individual leaves of the Artichoke luminaire are made of laser-cut steel or stainless steel. The suspension is made of high-gloss chrome-plated steel. The cable is a 4m long white textile cable. The luminaire is also stabilised with steel cables. To ensure high quality, individual processes are carried out by hand during production. Depending on the version, you can choose between LED and 100W E27 bulbs
