Unique aesthetics: PK23 / PK 23 lounge chair from Fritz Hansen
The PK2 was designed by Poul Kjærholm in 1954. Its wide and low shape with the distinctive split seat gives the design piece its unique aesthetic touch. Its sculptural shape is classic yet modern and very inviting. The lounge chair is now being produced for the first time, 70 years after its original design. This work represents an overlap between the styles of PK4 and PK0, which are not yet as structured and minimalist as Kjærholm's later designs.Fritz Hansen - Visionary design since 1872
Fritz Hansen is an exclusive design brand characterised by timeless collections and world-famous classic and contemporary furniture, lighting and accessories. The company was founded in Denmark in 1872. In the 1950s, the well-known designer Arne Jacobsen was responsible for design at Fritz Hansen. in 1979, the previously family-run company became part of Skandinavisk Holding. At the same time, Verner Panton was at the centre of attention as a leading avant-garde figure and had a huge influence on the manufacturer's design. Fritz Hansen manages the balancing act between upholding its long-standing history and tradition and designing modern pieces by repeatedly focussing on collaboration with international and visionary designers.Material and format
The backrest and seat are made of laminated veneer shells in ash or black, while the frame is made of either stainless steel or black powder-coated steel. The lounge chair is 75 cm wide, 62 cm deep and 69.5 cm high. The seat height is 36 cm.More - Dimensions / Infos
