Description
Design in the square: PK65 coffee table by Fritz Hansen
This unique coffee table draws on the best traditions of Scandinavian craftsmanship. As with several of his tables, Kjærholm created the PK65 in 1979 to complement his chair and sofa designs, in this case the PK20 lounge chair. The angular, expressive side table is a true design classic. Here, cool steel is combined with natural materials, which makes for a great contrast. In addition, the beautiful feel of granite, slate and marble inspires. The version with glass top gives a clear view of the cross frame made of satin-brushed steel. With the PK65, you'll embellish living and lounge environments alike. Are you a big fan of steel or want to create a lounge area with a uniform look? In addition to the PK20, you can also wonderfully combine the PK22 and PK25 chairs or the PK24 chaise longue with the coffee table - all available in our online store!Scandinavian craftsmanship: Poul Kjærholm
Poul Kjærholm was a skilled carpenter and continued his studies at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts. He had a special interest in various building materials, especially steel, which he regarded with the same artistic delicacy as other natural materials.Poul Kjærholm was employed by Fritz Hansen for about a year, where he created a number of remarkable designs. In 1955 he began his collaboration with the manufacturer Ejvind Kold Christensen, which lasted until Kjærholm's death in 1980. In 1982 Fritz Hansen took over the production and distribution of "The Kjærholm Collection", which was developed from 1951 to 1967 - designs that are logical to the smallest detail and have an aura of exclusivity. In 2007, Fritz Hansen added two new pieces to the Kjærholm Collection that had never been in production before: the PK8 chair and the PK58 dining table.Material and format
The PK65 tabletop is available in four different options: slate, white marble (rolled), glass and granite. The base is made of satin-brushed stainless steel. The coffee table has the dimensions W 100 x L 100 x H 38 cm.Note: Marble is a natural product. Therefore, the table tops are all unique and have their own distinctive pattern.More - Dimensions / Infos
