With history: Quaderna rug from Zanotta
The Quaderna series from Zanotta was created at a time when everything in Italy was being criticised and reconsidered. A time of upheaval in which Italian architecture and design culture was passionate. During this time, a group of students from Florence left their mark on the world of design with their idea of the "constant monument". Designed by Abet Print and Superstudio and named by Misura.
This filled everything with many square magmas, creating a histogram of architecture that produced furniture and atmospheres equipped with what they called "super-surfaces as a mental attitude model". Aurelio Zanotta was ready to take up this idea and realise the abstract thought construct in reality in the Quaderna series.
To this day, the Quaderna furniture is a special sight in a timeless and thoroughly elegant collection. The square, white laminate covers the furniture pieces and creates architectural landscapes.
Material and format
The rug is made of 100% hand-tufted New Zealand wool. The underside is made of cotton fabric. The dimensions are 200 cm x 300 cm.
