The Relevo Rug by Muuto is characterised by its sculptural patterns, which make the rug come alive and become a piece of furniture in its own right, instead of merely a decorative accessory. The design combines design and art - this conceptual approach is pursued with dedication by the design team of Studiopepe under Arianna Lelli Mani and Chiara di Pinto.
Relevo is Latin and means "relief" - the hand-tufted carpet is particularly characteristic with its refined design. The furrows are created by cutting the wool at different levels, resulting in an overall graphic pattern that relies on a sense of visual depth.
