Patternful: Relevo Rug Muuto
The Relevo rug from Muuto is characterised by its sculptural patterns, which bring the rug to life and turn it into a piece of furniture in its own right, rather than just a decorative accessory. The design combines design and art - this conceptual approach is pursued with dedication by the Studiopepe design team under Arianna Lelli Mani and Chiara di Pinto.
Relevo is Latin and means "relief" - the hand-tufted carpet is particularly characteristic with its sophisticated design. The furrows are created by cutting the wool at different levels, resulting in an overall graphic pattern that is based on a sense of visual depth.
