This chair is second to none when it comes to sustainability - the seat shell of the Rely is made from 100% recycled plastic. Its simple appearance and ergonomic design add to this and make the swivel chair so timeless that it always remains usable and complements many styles.
Designer Hee Welling
The Danish designer Hee Welling attended the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and graduated with a Master's degree in furniture design from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. In 2003, he founded his own studio in Copenhagen and has since designed furniture, interiors, lighting and industrial designs. Welling has received various awards, including the BoBedre Design Award (Denmark) and the Good Design Award (USA). His designs have been used in international institutions such as the Oslo Opera House, the Australian Parliament and Amazon's headquarters. As the son of a carpenter, he has a great fascination for production techniques and materials. So it is not surprising that his credo is to develop technically sophisticated products that are nevertheless accessible to the masses.
Material and format
The swivel chair is made of 100% recycled polypropylene with 15% glass fibre. Its 5-star swivel base is made of extruded aluminium, which is available polished or powder-coated. It is 78 cm high, 47 cm wide and 57 cm deep. The seat height is adjustable from 42-56 cm for model HW28 and fixed at 44 cm for models HW29-32.
