Patterned: Zet carpet from e15
Known for his design of expressive textiles, Richard Herre also designed, among other things, numerous carpets that helped define contemporary living as well as the spirit of New Objectivity in the 1920s. Today he is considered a quasi-rediscovered great of modernism. In close collaboration with the Herre family and based on the findings from the archives, e15 is now reissuing the striking design of its Kelim Zet.
Zet not only captivates with graphically clear lines and differentiated colors. The new edition also combines traditional weaving craftsmanship with historical design. This creates elegant patterns on the high-quality carpet, which is guaranteed to enhance your rooms with its presence.
Richard Herre Collection
With the Richard Herre collection, e15 continues its exploration of designs by modernist protagonists. The Stuttgart architect, interior designer, graphic artist, author and translator Richard Herre has only recently been rediscovered as an important representative of the New Objectivity of the 1920s. For interiors, he designed not only furniture and lighting, but also textiles such as curtain fabrics and carpets.
Herre's furniture and textile designs are characterized by reduced, often cubic forms that are accentuated by a thoughtful, bold color scheme. As a result, his designs fit into e15's versatile collection, which is nevertheless clearly committed to modernist values. With the re-editions of the Stuttgart chair and the Zet kilim, an almost forgotten, multi-layered chapter of modernism can be experienced again.
e15 - quality and innovation
Named after the zip code of its first studio in London, e15 was founded in 1995. In the production of its collections, the company pays attention to environmental sustainability as well as high-quality materials, working with specialized European craftsmen and renowned designers. This has resulted in progressive designs that impress with quality and innovation.
Material and format
Kelim Zet is handmade in a family business. Pure, hand-spun sheep's wool is used in the production process. Each of the three available color variants (blue, red, gray) is provided with playful fringes of cotton at the edge.
The colorful rug is distinguished by its considerable size. Thus, it measures 250 cm in length and 200 cm in width.
Note: Due to the manufacturing by hand, the measurement may vary up to 10% from the ordered size. Depending on the surface, it is recommended to put a non-slip mat underneath.
