The Ripple Outdoor Bench - a homage to the Japanese architect Toyo Ito - embodies masterly craftsmanship and effective design. The unusual seating surface appears like a hilly landscape, the recessed decorations like crop circles. A real eye-catcher with poetic flair.
This special look is achieved by the composition of different layers arranged on top of each other with intersecting grains. The subsequently hand-carved recesses create the special polychrome effect that lends the design furniture elegance and mysticism.
Tropical origin
To make Ripples suitable for outdoor use, so-called okoumé wood was used, which comes from tropical West Africa. This wood, also known as Gabon, is particularly resistant to moisture and light rain.
But won't the water collect in the decoration? Don't worry, everything has been thought of here. Thanks to the milled holes, rainwater can easily run off in the recessed areas. This makes Ripple the ideal place to relax outdoors, with space for up to 3 people at a size of 200 x 50 cm.
