Eileen Gray, an outstanding designer of the 20th century, not only designed some of the most important furniture classics of her time, but also had her own studio where she designed and had carpets made. The carpet collection by ClassiCon contains some of her most beautiful designs.
Eileen Gray always let a touch of her own life story flow into the abstract carpets for ClassiCon. With this design, the designer created a monument to her first villa E 1027 by the sea. The carpet is a wonderful combination of shapes, lines and colours that blend harmoniously with each other. Each element has been carefully placed to create a captivating and dynamic overall picture.
Material and format
The Roquebrune rug is hand-knotted in Nepal to the highest quality with a density of 80,000 knots per square metre. Made from 100% wool, it guarantees not only exceptional durability but also a comfortable feel underfoot.
