Pure inspiration: the Safari Chair, designed by Kaare Klint for Carl Hansen, takes you back to the African colonial era.
African design
Designer Kaare Klint was inspired in 1933 by a picture from the travel guide showing a couple wearing one of the classic Indian Roorkhee Chairs.
Klint recognized the potential of the chair, which could be assembled without any assembly material, and produced in a new design - the Safari Chair for Carl Hansen. This was first shown at the Copenhagen Cabinet Maker's Guild Exhibition and inspired the design world right away.

Here in our online shop, you can order the designer armchair with a frame made of light oiled ash wood and a seat and back cover made of natural canvas fabric online.
The theme of the armrests made of light leather is taken up again in the lower part with leather joints of the legs. As usual with Carl Hansen, you can count on highest quality and stability. At the same time, the Safari Armchair is lightweight and easy to transport.
Included is a comfortable seat cushion with our without buttons. Matching the Safari Chair, you can order an expressive stool online. Further material and wood versions are available on request.
