A clear view: the salt & herb jar set from Side by Side. The advantage of clear glass: you can immediately see what's inside, such as Fleur de Sel, Herbs of Provence or  Szechuan pepper.

Do the salt and herb jars look familiar to you? That may well be because these are former wine bottles, or more precisely, the bottom part of them. The salt and herb jars are part of the Weinlicht family. The lids are made of oiled oak.

Versatile in use

You can also use the Design salt and herb storage jars for other purposes, for example for rings, household gums, etc. And as the jars come in a stylish gift box, there is another obvious use: as a gift.

Good design

Good design is timeless and practical. All of this applies to Side by Side - and a little bit more. Side by Side pursues a noble goal and has all its products manufactured by people with disabilities. Most of the design pieces are produced by the Caritas Wendelstein workshops in Raubling / Upper Bavaria - like the salt and herb tins mentioned above. 

And the design? 30 designers are in the process of creating the most beautiful, useful and tried-and-tested home accessories for everyday use. The design has alreadywon several awards; in 2017, for example, Side by Side was honoured with the Design Plus special edition 2017 "Ethical Style".
