2024 is an important year for Woud. The Danish furniture manufacturer is celebrating its 10th birthday! To celebrate this special event in style, Woud has brought out one of its most popular designs in an exclusive anniversary edition: the Stedge shelf with fine brass wires.
With this exciting special edition, Woud is honouring the timeless elegance and sophistication that has characterised the beautiful designs from the manufacturer for a whole decade. And no Woud classic could have been better suited for this. The Stedge wall shelf with its floating appearance inspires with high-quality materials, delicate lines, purism and that certain something.
Incidentally, the filigree Stedge wall shelf was designed by Leonard Aldenhoff. The designer comes from Germany and, in addition to designing home furniture, also specialises in industrial design. This is where Aldenhoff's preference for minimalist, geometric designs comes from.
Stability guaranteed
As airy as the Stedge shelf may appear, the fastening is bombproof. Each individual shelf is attached to the wall using a concealed dowel construction. The brass struts, which are threaded through the shelves, therefore serve purely as a decorative element.
The 80 cm wide shelves themselves are also stable, as they are made of solid oak. This tapers towards the front - while the boards are 2 cm thick at the back, they are only 4 mm thick at the front.
