The design
The colourist and multidisciplinary artist Clàudia Valsells (1969) studied mural painting at the Institut Supérieur de Peinture Van Der Kelen et Logelain in Brussels. For over 20 years she worked on projects in Spain and abroad. Together with professionals from the fields of art, design and architecture, she directed and produced the painting of the Gran Teatre del Liceu opera house in Barcelona and the paintings for numerous luxury hotels in Europe. Her aim is to convey the value of colours and their textures when decorating interiors.
Nanimarquina - special carpets
The industrial designer Nani Marquina launched her eponymous label in 1987. With her modern carpets, she was breaking new ground in Spain at the time; there simply wasn't anything like it yet. To offer her customers the greatest possible variety, Nanimarquina works with renowned national and international designers.
Focus on sustainable carpets and climate protection
nanimarquina is a company that is actively committed to climate protection. The focus is on reducing the carbon footprint and conserving natural resources without compromising on quality and design. As the first climate-neutral carpet manufacturer, the company has set itself ambitious goals: It aims to halve its emissions by 2030 and be completely carbon neutral by 2050.
The company relies on natural fibres, controls its water consumption and develops waste reduction projects. It has also revised its corporate structure to focus on sustainability.
