Eye-catcher: Trapèze / Trapeze table Vitra
With its unusual shape and unmistakable expression, the Trapèze table by Vitra is unmistakable. Designer Jean Prouvé originally created the design table for the Cité Universitaire of Antony near Paris. The table legs made of sheet steel give the Trapèze its name.
Jean Prouvé - French design
Jean Prouvé called himself a constructor all his life, because he was both designer and producer of his designs. From letter openers, lamps and furniture to prefabricated houses - the French designer's work is particularly extensive and includes just about everything that can be designed and industrially produced.
Material and format
The table consists of a black-coated HPL top and a frame made of moulded and black powder-coated sheet steel. It is 223 cm wide, 72.5 cm deep and 72 cm high.
