Color Blocking: Two-Colour Table by Hay
Colorful par excellence - that's the Two-Colour table series by Belgian designer couple Muller Van Severen. The two were inspired by the differences and similarities of the materials used and the diverse ways in which they can be presented.
Sturdy tubular steel and organically colored valchromate combine to create a unified silhouette punctuated by the contrasting color elements. The different color combinations here are carefully selected and form the core of the table design. The furniture highlights the natural beauty of the materials and makes an impact with its elegant minimalism. The contrasting color palette makes the table look anything but ordinary.
Two-Colour is available in different shapes and sizes. The colors can be freely combined. This makes the table ideal for a variety of environments and needs. Give your café, restaurant or living and office spaces a strong dose of color and create a modern and aesthetic ambience!
Design and art combined
Muller Van Severen was founded in 2011 by Belgian artist duo Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen. The pair has always been on an inspired quest to create sculpturally interesting furniture objects. Their work moves somewhere between design and art and is characterized by a passion for architecture as well as an appreciation of materials. The designer duo has won countless awards and collaborated with renowned international museums and galleries.
Hay - contemporary furniture from Denmark
Founded in 2002, the Danish manufacturer Hay pursues the goal of creating furniture that meets the needs of modern life and is accessible to the widest possible audience. In doing so, they like to reinterpret Danish furniture classics of the 50s and 60s.
Inspired by the stable structures of architecture and the dynamic turns of fashion, Hay combines the values of both industries and creates durable and timeless quality products that combine functionality and elegance.
Material and format
The legs and frame of the Two-Colour are made of powder-coated tubular steel. Here you can choose between the colors ocher, maroon red and ivory. The integrated, screw-in plastic glider is adjustable up to 12 mm.
The round table top with a thickness of 30 mm sits on a square frame and is made of Valchromat. This is a sturdy, organically dyed, FSC™-certified wood fiber material that is finished with a high-gloss water-based lacquer. This creates a soft, water-resistant finish. For the lacquer finish, you have a choice of gray, blue, red or mint green.
The round Two-Colour table is 74 cm high and has a diameter of 120 cm.
In our online store you can also find the version with a diameter of 105 cm or the square version, which is available in three sizes.
Notes: The Two-Colour must be assembled by yourself with the enclosed materials.
The material is made of natural wood fibers that give each table top a unique expression. Due to the organic dyeing process, the fibers and colors vary slightly from batch to batch. Minor surface differences are a natural part of the material and may occur.
