Midcentury Modern
Arthur Umanoff was an American-born industrial designer and one of the well-known representatives of the American Midcentury Modern movement. His designs are strongly characterised by the use of natural materials. Thus, elements made of rattan, solid wood or iron are often found in his furniture pieces. Umanoff always tried to redesign and develop traditional designs by using new methods.
