Dottir - Design from the North
The contrasts of Nordic life between dark, cold winters and bright, warm summers are the inspiration behind Dottir's creative products. The shapely home accessories are characterised by their very own naturalistic and detailed language, which stands in contrast to the highly praised minimalist claim of Scandinavian design. Thus, Dottir also sees itself as a pioneer of the next Nordic design movement. Dottir's designs are finished in Dehua in the Chinese province of Fujan, because only there can the ceramics be produced to a high quality using a unique glazing technique. The region is world-famous for its Blanc de Chine production, whose origins go far back into the Ming dynasty.
Material and format
The candlestick is made of porcelain. It is suitable for candles of 5-6 cm. Its dimensions are 13 x 16 cm.
