Opposites: Yang display cabinet by Opinion Ciatti
For her Yang showcase, designer Marta Giardini was inspired by the ancient Taoist philosophy of Yin and Yang. The result is an impressive and modern reinterpretation of the archetypal Chinese wardrobe.
Light and shadow, day and night, inside and outside - opposing concepts that cannot exist without each other. As with yin and yang, visual opposites also face each other in the designer showcase. The transparent character of also creates an exciting interplay between content and container. The sculptural handle - one side glossy, one satin - draws the eye to the balancing centre.
Thanks to the transparent body and the slender metal structure, Yang easily fits into the most diverse living environments , be they classic, minimalist or inspired by the industrial style .
Material and format
Yang is made of safety crystal glass and has a decorative handle made of nickel or gold and glass. The frame is made of anodised aluminium. Here in the online shop, you can choose from two finishes :
- Matt black frame, nickel-black handle, smoked glass
- Frame in burnished satin brass, handle in 24 K gold, transparent glass
The cabinet measures 75 cm in width, 44 cm in depth and 180 cm in height. The shelves are 37 cm apart.
