The well-known Flowerpot lamp by andtradition has become a synonym of the Flower Power movement in the 60s . Its design reflects a time when conventions were bypassed and an open and modern mentality established itself. As inspiring and colourful personality Verner Panton has a unique sense for colours, forms, light function and space. In the course of his career, the designer produced modern luminaires with personality that cannot be found in any other Scandinavian designer. His remarkable confidence in the unlimited possibilities of forms made him develop a series of new theories about how lighting works and how it can influence its surroundings.
