Design Team Hansen + Hyldahl
Designer Tommy Hyldahl is the founder of NORR11. He is responsible for the creative DNA of the manufacturer and so his interest in materials and production processes is evident in each and every NORR11 product. Since 2015, he has been working together with Kristian Sofus Hansen, who graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. The two designers are united by their passion for Japanese simplicity and Scandinavian tradition, which they combine in their designs to create timeless furniture.
NORR11 - Scandinavian design
Danish furniture manufacturer NORR11 was founded in 2011. The company's focus is to redefine and rethink the understanding of Scandinavian design, creating timeless pieces of furniture that combine the present and the past. This goal is achieved through collaboration with innovative young designers. This results in products of outstanding craftsmanship and quality.
Material and format
The dark frame of the Hippo chair is made of solid, FSC-certified oak wood. Seat and back cushions with foam filling can be ordered with the following optional covers:
- Barnum Bouclé 11 (45% cotton, 19% viscose, 15% wool, 13% acetate, 8% nylon).
- Sørensen Spectrum - Noir Mineral 30160 (semi-aniline leather)
- Sørensen Spectrum - Noir Autumn 30099 (semi-aniline leather)
- Kvadrat - Canvas 2 - 694 (90% virgin wool - worsted, 10% nylon)
- Brussels Velvet - Olive 751 (100% polyester)
The seat is 47,5 cm wide, 59 cm deep and 79,5 cm high. The seat height is 49 cm.
