Philippi - North German design articles
Philippi is a German company based in Hamburg. in 1992, Jan Philippi stocked his two shops in Hamburg with goods that corresponded to his vision of modern and timeless design articles. Inspired by companies that were able to realise his design visions, he ventured the step from retail to wholesale.
Jan Philippi worked closely with his designers and supported them with precision and attention to detail until the designs were ready for the market . He was always particularly interested in supporting young designers. Even today, the boss still supports young talents andattaches great importance to good co-operation. He is still intensively involved in all the moulding processes, looks after every customer and considers humanity to be an important corporate principle.
The small start-up has now grown into an internationally renowned brand with around 500 products. The manufacturer's design products are sold by furniture retailers, stationery shops, household speciality shops, etc. and shopping icons such as KaDeWe . The noble products can now be found in over 90 countries worldwide, such as France, Japan, the USA, and more recently also in Moscow and Chile. The brand is characterised by creativity, courage and a wealth of ideas combined with a healthy Hanseatic merchant spirit.
