Corner position: Mariposa corner module sofa Vitra
Mariposa is the beautiful sounding name of the Vitra sofa by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby which means butterfly. It is the first functional sofa in the Vitra range to offer a continuously adjustable back and adjustable armrests. Thanks to the all-round upholstery and narrow backrests, the Mariposa sofa is extremely comfortable even in small spaces.
The armrest cushions and seat and back cushions lie loosely in the upholstered frame construction. The back and armrests can be moved silently via a joint. You can bend the backrests separately outwards or backwards by up to 30°.
Material and format
Note: The resistance of the joint is predefined and cannot be changed. The force required for this is set so that you do not move the backrests when leaning against them normally and support the user. With deliberately higher pressure, the backrests can be adjusted to the desired angle.
