Light object of a special kind: Mercury Wall Lamp by Woud
Designer Jeanette Holdgaard was inspired by a solar eclipse for the Mercury wall lamp. And indeed, it appears as if the moon is eclipsing the sun as soon as you switch on Mercury.
This is due to the clever mounting of LED lamps behind the black lacquered lampshade, which illuminate the wall behind it. The distinctive rod that is connected to the Mercury Wall Lamp gives the extraordinary wall lamp a graphic expression.
Whether switched on or off: Mercury sets strong accents and that on every wall.
The designer
Jeanette Holdgaard is behind the striking design of the Mercury wall lamp. The Danish designer is also Art Director at Woud. After graduating from the VIA University College, Holdgaard specialised in the design of furniture and lamps.
Technical features
In addition, Woud has a dimmer installed in its Mercury Wall Lamp, which can be operated via the lampshade by means of touch technology. This way, you can vary the mood light emanating from Mercury according to your taste. The light source is also now replaceable (as of March 2021).
